I was born in Shandong Province, China and now I am an assistant professor in Department of Mathematics at North Carolina State University. My research areas include financial mathematics and stochastic control. I got my BS (in 1994) and MS (in 1997) from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). In 1997, I went to Brown University, where I got my Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics in May 2002. During 1999-2000, I was serving as President of Brown University Chinese Student and Scholar Association. During 2002-2003, I was the Treasurer of Chinese American Friendship Association (CAFA). Being elected in 2003, I served as CAFA President for the term 2003-2004. In 2004, I was elected as a member of CAFA Board of Directors for the term 2004-2007. My hobbies include tennis, travel, music, movies and Chinese literature, etc. |
