旅美科技协会北卡分会 (简称北卡科协，英文 CASTNC) 于2024年1月15日在 Morrisville, NC 举行2024年的第一次董事会。会上选举了新一届会长，探讨了北卡科协在2024年的主要工作重点，以及今后几年的发展方向。
参加会议的董事及执委会成员包括陈剑文，黄蒙，鲍健，王涛，徐衍，赵岱，石昱乾和李智勇。按照北卡科协的章程。与会者高度肯定了黄蒙作为会长对北卡科协所做出的杰出贡献，并选举徐衍为新一届会长。
与会者认为北卡科协2024年的主要工作重点包括以下几点：
- 继续增进华人在北卡科技界以及商贸领域的合作与交流。其中一个有效的方式是邀请科技和商贸领域的专家通过讲座的形式来介绍科技发展前沿、分享工作学习经验和创造在科技领域的合作机会。在2024，北卡科协将继续与其他组织合作举办内容丰富的科技讲座。
- 成立专业科协小组。为进一步促进北卡科协的成长和发展，北卡科协计划按照专业领域，比如生物制药、信息科技以及金融等，成立专业科协小组。这些专业科协小组可以自己定期举办活动。
- 发展科协活动参与者与赞助。北卡科协将大力吸引科协活动参与者，特别是刚刚走上工作岗位的年轻科技从业者。同时，争取更多的个人和企业赞助来帮助北卡科协继续地健康增长。
对于北卡科协，2024年是充满机遇和挑战的一年。北卡科协将按照已定的发展方针和计划系统地开展各项活动，为社区做出更多的贡献！
The Chinese Association for Science and Technology, NC Chapter (CASTNC) held its first board meeting of 2024 in Morrisville, NC, on January 15, 2024. A new president was elected at the meeting, and the main focuses of CASTNC’s work in 2024, as well as the development direction for the next few years, were discussed.
The directors and members of the executive committee who attended the meeting included Jianwen Chen, Meng Huang, Jian Bao, Tao Wang, Yan Xu, Dai Zhao, Yuqian Shi, and Zhiyong Li. According to the charter of CASTNC, the attendees highly appreciated Meng Huang’s outstanding contribution as the president and elected Yan Xu as the new president.
The attendees believed that the main focuses of CASTNC’s work in 2024 include the following points:
1. Continue to promote collaborations and exchanges among Chinese in the fields of science, technology, and commerce in North Carolina. One effective way is to invite experts in various domains to give seminars on the forefront of scientific development, share work and study experiences, and create opportunities for cooperation in science and technology. In 2024, CASTNC will continue to work with other organizations to hold science and technology seminars.
2. Establish professional groups. To further promote the growth and development of CASTNC, plans are made to establish professional groups based on fields including biopharmaceuticals, information technology, and finance. These professional groups can organize regular activities on their own.
3. Develop participants and sponsors for events. CASTNC will vigorously attract participants, especially young professionals who have just started their careers in technology. At the same time, more individual and corporate sponsorships will be sought to help CASTNC continue to grow steadily.
For CASTNC, 2024 is a year full of opportunities and challenges. CASTNC will systematically carry out various activities according to the established development policies and plans, and make more contributions to the community!
